Justin Liles: Record warmth around the Northland
A quiet week is in store weather-wise. We saw many record highs around the region Monday as all the Northland were in the upper 50s to lower 60s. A cool front will move into tonight and bring some clouds overnight into Tuesday morning before we see another warm day. Temperatures will be well above normal with low humidity through the first half of the week before cooling slightly.
Dry conditions and breezy winds will lead to near critical fire weather conditions Tuesday. Northwest winds of 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 20 mph are forecast for Tuesday afternoon with the strongest winds along the North Shore. There is a slight chance for some light rain/snow Thursday over parts of northwest Wisconsin. Temperatures will cool off by the weekend and be a little closer to normal when we drop into the 30s.
