Justin Liles: Thunderstorms possible Tuesday
We are off to another warm start to the work week. As we sit on the verge of ending October and moving onto November, it’s important to note that we are currently sitting in the top ten of warmest Octobers on record.
We’ll likely stay in the top ten as slide into November. A cold front will move into the Northland tonight and Tuesday bringing rain chances to the region. A few thunderstorms are forecast Tuesday evening through Wednesday night. One or two strong to severe storms are possible from late Tuesday evening into early Wednesday morning. Large hail to 1 inch in diameter and wind gusts to 60 mph are the main hazards. The biggest threat will likely be in northern parts of Wisconsin Then cooler temperatures arrive Wednesday and Thursday with rain, and possibly light snow (mainly overnight and early Thursday morning). Little to no snow accumulation is expected currently, except on grassy areas. Slight warm-up Friday and Saturday.
