Lea Zmurko: Another bright day in the Northland
Waking up to some low-lying fog and a few cold spots overall a cool morning but temperatures will make their way upwards as the sun rises.
The sunshine will be sticking around this afternoon as another bright day is upon us. We will be seeing temperatures in the low 70s across the Northland.
Tonight is a different story; moderate rainfall will push through ahead of the front in the early morning hours tomorrow. The brunt of the heavy rainfall will be localized from the Iron Range northward along the Arrowhead.
By the afternoon and into Friday evening there is a chance for isolated severe thunderstorms to pass through northcentral Minnesota. Any residual showers will clear by Saturday mid-morning. Sunday will be dry and the next chance for rainfall will be returning Monday night and into our upcoming Tuesday.

Sunny, with a high near 70. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph in the afternoon.
Tonight
A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 3am. Low around 55. East wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Friday
Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. High near 68. Breezy, with a south wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
Saturday
A chance of showers before 10am, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 10am and 4pm, then a chance of showers after 4pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 66. Breezy, with a northwest wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Sunny, with a high near 70. Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming southeast in the afternoon.
