Lea Zmurko: Another dry stretch has begun

October 16: A warm breeze with temperatures on the rise

Winds will come in from the south today and tomorrow as temperatures climb into the mid 60s. Weather conditions will remain dry through the start of the weekend.

The Northland is seeing a stretch of breezy dry weather, with temperatures climbing into the mid-60s throughout the rest of the week. Today will be in the upper 50s with winds coming in from the south at 5-15 mph with gusts upwards of 20 mph.

With strong winds and low humidity, the near-critical fire weather conditions continue for another week across northern and central Minnesota.

The next chance for some light rain is set to pass Friday night into Saturday morning as a cold front stalls over the Midwest for the weekend. The rain chances remain low at 20-40% and total accumulation remains at less than a tenth of an inch.

Temperatures will then climb back to above normal conditions for the start of next week.
