Lea Zmurko: Another pleasant fall afternoon

October 9: Another sunny afternoon

Warming up throughout the workweek before seeing temperatures drop by the weekend, but still a lack of rain keeps conditions abnormally dry.

Another sunny afternoon across the Northland as temperatures continue to reach the upper 50s and mid 60s with warm air moving in from the southwest. High pressure remains dominant through the warmup as some regions will near record highs for early October by Thursday afternoon.

The rest of the week remains dry as the next chance for precipitation will be over the weekend followed by cooler temperatures for next week. With a lack of moisture available, any rain this weekend will be light amounts. With the consistent dry weather, burn restrictions are still in place as the Northland is awaiting significant rainfall.
