Lea Zmurko: Conditions remain consistent

September 10: Pleasant and partly cloudy

Another day in the upper 70s with sunny skies lingering for the afternoon. Skies will clear late overnight as high pressure remains. Fog will build in tomorrow morning but the work week will continue to be bright.

Bright conditions continue across the Northland. A few sprinkles look to pass this afternoon as low chances for light rain remain across central Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin as a short-lived system moves eastward across the cities.

Temperatures will reach the upper 70s and low 80s across the Northland, a lake breeze will keep conditions cooler along the shore and further inland more daytime heating can be expected.

With a dominant high-pressure system remaining over the Great Lakes, temperatures will continue to rise with warm air advection pushing in from the southeast. Skies may appear hazy in the afternoon due to some smoke aloft moving east from the wildfires. Smoke may linger for a few days mid-week before clearing out with the arrival of some showers this weekend.
