Lea Zmurko: Early morning fog will break for some sun
A cool start to our Tuesday morning with a Dense Fog Advisory is in place for most of the Northland until 9 AM this morning. The low-lying clouds will be hindering visibility on the roads for many this morning, be sure to use low beams and slow down when moving through foggy conditions.
As the sun continues to rise, the daypart will remain sunny with clear and dry skies due to the high pressure that has moved in overhead. Temperatures will make their way into the mid-seventies this afternoon.
The next round of showers and thunderstorms will arrive in northern Minnesota Wednesday afternoon and continue to move eastward across the Northland overnight and clear by Thursday morning. After the rain, conditions will remain cooler for the remainder of the work week. Highs will be 5-10 degrees below normal, and a northwest breeze will persist.
