Thursday will remain dry with highs climbing into the upper 30s and upper forties, sunshine will be abundant with a few straggling clouds lingering.

Winds will stay breezy and start off with a cool northwest direction, but over the course of the day they will switch over to the southwest as the overhead high pressure continues to slowly migrate eastward.

Some cooler air will be arriving tomorrow morning behind a cold front as light snow and wintery mix grazes the area. Temperatures will continue to fall tomorrow afternoon and overnight as the high pressure continues to exit for Saturday morning. Winds will also diminish for the beginning of the weekend keeping the day cool and quiet.

More active weather will return Sunday morning as snow and light rain will be developing and cross the Upper Midwest over the course of the day. Significant accumulation is possible stretching from Brainerd Lake to the North Shore. The higher terrain is expected to see an abundance of snowfall, but there is still some uncertainty in the progression of the upcoming system in regard to what type of precipitation will be where.
