Lea Zmurko: Humid and hot, but gearing up for fall
There were a few isolated showers passing up by the International Boarder bringing heavy rain in the overnight hours, as the sun starts to rise these showers cleared and continued to trek northward.
There is another sunny day in the forecast for the Northland as temperatures return to the low 80s this afternoon. Conditions will remain mostly dry today and tomorrow, but some isolated storms are possible in parts of central and western Minnesota.
More storms and a possibility for severe weather with heavy rain and hail is likely to cross the Head of the Lake Thursday afternoon and evening as a cold front approaches the Northland. Dewpoints will be well above 60 degrees over the next 48 hours and the region may feel muggy and humid as we await the upcoming storms.
After this cold front passes temperatures will settle into some more seasonable conditions for the upcoming week.
