Lea Zmurko: It’s quiet across the Northland

September 23: An easy start to the week.

A quiet start to the week, dry weather will continue but cooler nights will bring a risk for frost .

Cool mornings and quiet conditions will continue for the next few days here in the Northland. A frost advisory is in place until eight this morning, but as clouds roll in around sunrise, the threats should diminish.

The daypart will be mostly sunny with temperatures in the mid-60s and a light breeze in the afternoon.  Tonight, it will be cool again with another chance for overnight frost as skies clear and the lows drop into the mid-forties. Keeping a close eye on the Arrowhead and interior portions of northwest Wisconsin where patchy frost is more likely.

A slight chance for some scattered light rain tonight into Tuesday across the region as an upper-level trough continues southeast, less than a tenth of an inch is expected as the remaining moisture moves through.

A dominate ridge will follow and stick around the region and skies will remain dry. There will be plenty of sunshine to encourage temperatures to reach the mid-70s by the end of the week.
