Lea Zmurko: Monday remains quiet ahead of a series of active weather days.
Monday will be another warm November day with temperatures in the mid-40s to low 50s as rain slowly approaches from the south. After the rain clears, the temperature trend will continue to drop into the 30s as dry chilly air is expected to arrive this upcoming weekend.
Tonight will be the start of a large weather system that will bring rain and eventually some snow across the Northland. Winds will pick up from the east overnight and gust are expected to exceed 40-50 mph tonight and tomorrow across the Arrowhead.
Tuesday rain will remain moderate for many with localized heavy rain landing across the North Shore, where 3-4 inches is expected. By Wednesday and Thursday, the rain will have switched to snow as many spots will see at most 1-2 inches in accumulation across the Gogebic Range.
