Lea Zmurko: A break from the heat, with just a few showers
Another pleasant morning in the Northland as temperatures remain in the mid-70s region wide. There are some patchy areas with fog near Hayward and northwest Wisconsin, these will clear as the sunrises. There will be some clouds moving throughout the day and into tonight.
Breezy conditions will be lasting through tomorrow. With wind coming from the northwest direction, temperatures will drop the low 70s for tomorrow. This brief cooling will be a nice break from the previous hot and humid conditions.
We will see another series of scattered showers passing across northeastern Minnesota in the late afternoon to early evening. These will be light showers with minimal rainfall amounts expected.
High pressure will return overnight, and then dry conditions will continue into the weekend with small chance for showers on Saturday evening. Temperatures will be returning to the upper 70s and low 80s by the weekend.
