Lea Zmurko: Snowflakes are set to fall
Winds will shift today, and the lake effect snow will migrate from the South Shore northward along highway 61 bringing some light flake sand snow flurries northward for tonight.
Light snow remains in the forecast as a cold front approaches tomorrow and 0.5-2 inches of snow is expected to fall across the region by Friday morning.
Cold air will be returning for the weekend and highs will be in the single digits by the start of next week.
