Lea Zmurko: Some more storms and hot weather ahead
Temperatures are staying well above normal for the upcoming week, with some more hot and humid days ahead. There will be a decent amount of cloud coverage for Monday keeping conditions slightly cooler in the lower 80s with a light west wind.
The rain and storms from overnight will slowly continue to move across the Northland this morning. The rain will be localized over east central Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin by the evening hours.
Some marginal chances for strong to severe weather occurring within the thunderstorms today, the key risk being damaging wind gusts. There will be greater chances for more storms returning on Wednesday and Thursday this week.
We will see more heat and humidity for tomorrow and the rest of the work week as a southerly flow will continue to keep warmer air on our region. Highs are remaining in the mid-80s all week long.
