Lea Zmurko: Starting August off with some storms

August 1: Morning storms and a cloudy afternoon

Starting off August with storms across central Minnesota and northern Wisconsin. Temperatures will near the low 80s this afternoon.

Another round of showers and thunderstorms move across central Minnesota and northern Wisconsin this morning. The risk for severe weather remains unlikely. Following the rain, cloud coverage will linger through the afternoon before clearing this evening.

Temperatures will be in the low to mid 80s this afternoon so it will feel slightly cooler, but the mugginess in the air will linger and make things uncomfortable.

The humid and hot conditions will return for Friday and into Saturday before some overnight thunderstorms start to break the humidity. Conditions will then start to become cooler by Sunday with more chances for rain and showers over the upcoming week.
