Lea Zmurko: The dry stretch continues

October 7: The start of another dry week

The fall weather continues with temperatures in the mid 60s and widespread sunshine for the Northland

It will be another week of quiet weather as the Northland sits downstream of an upper levels ridge for the start of the week. This is keeping the region dry through Thursday as temperatures start to climb above normal into the low seventies.

We are starting the morning with a widespread frost advisory but will be seeing sunshine and clear skies by the afternoon. Winds will pick up from the northwest with speeds of 10-15 mph, more gusts will be observed across the Arrowhead. Temperatures will get to the mid-60s across the region, but another chilly night is ahead.

Conditions are still dry, and the region is seeing moderate drought conditions across Northern Minnesota as fire danger remains an elevated risk until we see some greater chances for rain.
