Lea Zmurko: The warm fall weather sticks around for the weekend.

October 18: A little rain with the warm weather

The breezy & dry stretch will see a little bit of relief with light rain moving in tonight, the rest of the weekend will remain dry in the mid-60s

A warm weekend ahead as temperatures continue to stick to the mid-60s through the start of next week. Winds will continue from the south at 10-15 mph, but the gusts will slowly start to diminish overnight.

Fire risk is still a main concern across the region as flames can easily spread with the low relative humidity and warm gusts persisting periodically all weekend long. There are many restrictions in place across the Northland as outside flames and burning would be hazardous at this time.

With the current dry and breezy conditions, we are tracking the possibility of precipitation for this afternoon as a cold front slowly tracks eastward bringing light rain across the region this afternoon and overnight. The Northland will be expecting less than a quarter of an inch across northern Minnesota and the South Shore.

The rest of the weekend will remain dry with the next chance of rain moving in on Tuesday, after that round of light showers cooler air will move in for the next stretch as we return to normal.
