Lea Zmurko: Watch out, these wind chills are no joke!
Stepping outside the cold air can be shocking. The artic air and low wind chills will continue for another morning. A Cold Weather Advisory remains in place through this morning and may return for tonight.
Wind chills will fall as low as -35 this morning and the cold and brisk air will continue into tonight as overnight lows remain below zero. Lake effect snow will also continue throughout today along the S. Shore snowbelt as the cold air continues to cross the warmer waters. Up to an additional inch is expected in Iron County and just under and inch will cross Bayfield and Ashland Counties.
Elsewhere, skies will be clear today and tomorrow as high pressure remains overhead, but by Saturday afternoon some snow and mixed precipitation will come across northwest Wisconsin and the I-35 corridor.
Temperatures will return to normal over the weekend with mid to upper twenties and even a few low thirties on Saturday.
