Lea Zmurko: Wet weather as we head to the polls
It will be another cloudy and dreary day in the low 40s for our Tuesday. Rain will work its way eastward across the Twin Ports and across northwest Wisconsin. Three quarters of an inch is expected across northern Wisconsin by the end of the day, The North Shore and portions of east-central Minnesota is only anticipating a quarter of an inch in total by tonight. Conditions will remain dry in the Iron Range as only a few straggling showers are expected to cross up north.
After this rain clears out, high pressure returns and conditions will remain dry for the rest of the work week. Temperatures will bump into the low 50s, just 5-10 degrees above normal as the sunny skies persist. The next low-pressure system is slated to arrive Saturday night and bring rain across the Northland on Sunday as well.
