February 13: Chance of snow Friday

Snow chances return on Friday with 1-3 inches expected.

Another cold night is in store for the Northland. Tonight will be partly cloudy with overnight lows in the negative teens.

Temperatures will warm to the positive teens on Friday afternoon. Around that time, we will also see snow changes return. Snow will enter the region in the afternoon and become widespread in the early evening.

Travel conditions are expected to get difficult by the Friday evening rush hour with reduced visibility and slick roads. Total snowfall accumulation will be mostly 1-3 inches, and most of that will fall between 4pm and 10pm on Friday.

Snow will exit fairly quickly early Saturday morning. Cold air returns on Sunday and will stick around through the week as afternoon highs struggle to stay above zero.
