March 23: South Shore snow tonight

The higher terrain of Bayfield County and areas in Iron and Gogebic Counties will have an additional 3-6 inches of snow by the time this round of snow ends on Monday morning.

Most of the Northland got less snow than expected due to an intrusion of dry air that lasted from this morning to the early evening. More moisture has entered the region, but it is as the low-pressure system is making its exit.

A few more snow showers are possible tonight, with most of the area getting under an inch of additional accumulation. The higher terrain of Bayfield County and areas in Iron and Gogebic Counties will have an additional 3-6 inches of snow by the time this round ends on Monday morning.

Other than the aforementioned additional snow in some areas along the South Shore, the Monday morning commute will be decent weather-wise. Meteorologist Lea Zmurko will have the latest road conditions on Good Morning Northland.

Overnight lows will be in the teens to low 20s. Monday will have highs in the 30s to low 40s, and temperatures will be similar for the rest of the week.

Skies will gradually clear on Monday and stay sunny until Thursday. The next chance of precipitation is on Friday, lasting through Saturday. Right now, that is looking like another messy mix of rain, snow, and freezing rain. The Storm Track Weather Team will continue to keep an eye on that system as it gets closer and update accordingly.
