Sabrina Ullman: Brief break from snow
As today’s storm exits, skies will gradually clear by Monday morning. Overnight lows will be near 20 degrees.
Monday will have plenty of sunshine and high in the upper 30s to low 40s. Our break from snow will be brief as another system will head our way on Tuesday.
Most of Tuesday will be cloudy but dry. East winds will pick up speed by the afternoon, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
Snow chances return Tuesday night and last until early Thursday. The heaviest snow will be late Tuesday into early Wednesday, so the Wednesday morning commute is expected to be slick.
The highest snowfall accumulation will be along the North Shore. It is a little early to post exact amounts, but there is a decent chance of over six inches throughout northern Minnesota and potentially even Wisconsin. The Storm Track Weather Team will post forecasted amounts as this system gets closer, so stay tuned.
