July 25: Temperatures continue to climb

A strong south wind will bring hot, humid conditions to the Northland for the next few days.

Tonight will be partly cloudy with overnight lows ranging from 52 degrees in Silver Bay to 65 degrees in Brainerd. Smoke aloft will make the sky hazy, especially for areas towards Lake of the Woods and Beltrami Counties. No health impacts are expected as the smoke will stay in the upper levels of the atmosphere.

A strong southerly wind will bring warmer temperatures for our Friday. Afternoon highs will be in the 80s. There is a slight chance of rain in northwest Minnesota Friday night.

This weekend will be muggy with dew points reaching 70 degrees on Saturday and afternoon highs in the upper 80s to low 90s. There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms Sunday night becoming widespread Monday.
