Sabrina Ullman: Light snow possible tonight
The snow we received on Saturday will stick around as temperatures stay below freezing for this upcoming week. Tonight will be cloudy with overnight lows ranging from -1 degrees in International Falls to 17 degrees in Phillips.
There is a chance of snow for areas stretching from Hinckley to Butternut late tonight, lasting into early Monday morning. Accumulations are expected to be 1-2 inches, but a narrow band of heavy snow will bring up to five inches of snow in some areas. There is uncertainty about exactly where that band will set up. A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Pine, Burnett, Washburn, Sawyer, and Price Counties, in effect from 10 pm Sunday to 10 am Monday.
Monday will have a gusty west wind and afternoon highs ranging from the single digits west of the Iron Range to the low 20s in northern Wisconsin. Similar temperatures are expected this week, with highs mostly in the teens and overnight lows near zero.
A more active weather pattern has begun in the Midwest. Snow is likely on Wednesday, and there will be another chance of snow on Saturday.
