Northerly winds will pick up speed tonight as a cold front passes through, reaching 10-20 mph. This front will also bring light snow to the Arrowhead region and the South Shore.

A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Iron and Gogebic Counties, in effect from 7 pm tonight to 10 am Monday. Snowfall accumulation will be 1-3 inches in that area. Elsewhere, we will have up to half an inch of snow in portions of St. Louis, Lake, and Cook Counties in Minnesota and Bayfield, Sawyer, and Ashland Counties in Wisconsin. The rest of the area will stay dry.

Overnight lows will be in the teens to low 20s. Monday will be around 20 degrees cooler than today, with highs ranging from 29 degrees in Ely to 38 degrees in Hinckley. Tuesday will be similar, and both days will be sunny.

Rain chances return Wednesday evening with a rain/snow mix possible overnight. Not much accumulation is expected with this round. The rest of the week will have a return of sunshine and a warming trend, reaching the upper 50s to low 60s by Sunday. There is a chance of rain next Sunday.
