Sabrina Ullman: Rain chances return Wednesday
An upper-level low will drop south through out of Canada tonight and be near the Minnesota and North Dakota border. By late Wednesday into Thursday, it will work its way into our neck of the woods. Chances for showers and a few thunderstorms will develop Wednesday over portions of central- northern Minnesota, moving through the rest of the Northland Wednesday night and continuing Thursday.
The center of the upper low will shift east on Friday along with cooler temperatures. This setup will lead to chances for showers and a few thunderstorms, but rainfall will be relatively light and not much accumulation is expected. Drier conditions along with cooler air are expected Saturday and Sunday. Temperatures this week and through the weekend will be nearly 5°-10° below normal.
