Sabrina Ullman: Warm Wednesday ahead of widespread rain
We have had a mostly sunny and warm beginning of the week, but both conditions will soon change. Overnight lows will be in the 50s to low 60s with a light south wind becoming calm.
Wednesday will start out mostly sunny, but cloud coverage will increase by the afternoon. Afternoon highs will be near 80 degrees again.
Rain chances return late Wednesday night with showers becoming widespread Thursday. The heaviest rainfall will be Thursday afternoon to evening, and rain will continue into Friday. Accumulations over an inch are expected for most of the Northland.
Temperatures will drop as the rain moves in with afternoon highs near 70 degrees Thursday and Friday. On Saturday, we will return to sunny skies and highs in the upper 70s.

Wednesday
Mostly sunny, with a high near 79. East wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.
Thursday
Showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 4pm. High near 68. Breezy, with an east wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.
Friday
A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 10am, then a chance of showers between 10am and 1pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 71. North wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
Saturday
A slight chance of showers after 1pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 77. North wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.
