Sabrina Ullman: Wildfire smoke will linger into Monday

August 18: Warm, dry weather continues

Afternoon highs will be in the 70s to low 80s most of the week.

Tonight will be partly cloudy with an east wind becoming calm. Overnight lows will be in the 50s. We will see wildfire smoke linger into Monday morning.

Monday will be mostly sunny with the wind becoming easterly in the afternoon. Temperatures will be cooler by the lake again. Afternoon highs will be in the upper 60s towards the head of the lake, mid-70s slightly inland, and in the low 80s away from the lake.

On Monday night, there will be a supermoon. This is the first of four supermoons this year. If smoke ruins the view, the good news is that the next supermoon will coincide with a partial lunar eclipse.

An east-southeast wind will keep temperatures in the low 70s by the lake Tuesday while other areas reach the upper 70s to low 80s again. Widespread upper 70s and low 80s will be likely for the rest of the week. The next chance of rain is late in the week, with the timing most likely being Thursday night.
